It’s no secret that clients struggling with addiction often have co-occurring mental health disorders. These disorders are worsened by drug and alcohol addiction. We’re proud to have Dr. Mendoza on our team to provide the psychiatric care that many of our clients need.
Dr. Mendoza is a firm believer in collaborating with his clients to create a highly effective and individualized medication management plan. His experience in internal medicine taught him to integrate holistic treatment practices when treating psychiatric clients. He understands that recovery includes treating the whole-person with a strengths-based approach.
In addition, Dr. Mendoza is an advocate for suicide awareness and prevention. His empathy toward his clients and their families empowers those in treatment to navigate the challenges of long-term recovery. (Visit the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Disabilities for more on suicide prevention in Georgia).
