The Professionals Treatment Program at Serenity Grove is one that operates on our clinical team's shared belief that there is no “cookie-cutter” or “one-size-fits-all” approach to addiction services. Addiction and substance abuse treatment is complex, especially in cases of healthcare professionals with impaired practice. Our care team consists of American Society of Addiction Medicine member clinicians, who are experienced and prepared to work with human resource personnel, licensing boards, and government agencies as appropriate. Together with these institutions, we collaborate and advocate to help professionals under our care onto the road to recovery. When appropriate, our assistance continues to get these professionals back to their careers as expeditiously as prudent and possible with the tools for long-term compliance and recovery.

Our program treats the immediate needs of the professional, creates a foundation for long-term compliance, and prepares a plan for achieving the professional, personal, and familial goals of each individual client in our care.

Discretion & Confidentiality

Aside from our program's emphasis –– providing the care that meets the unique needs of each professional, we find that no matter is of more concern to these clients than discretion. At Serenity Grove, we understand the need for privacy and we are HIPPA compliant and we meet or exceed the legal standard that pertains to most programs.

Athens is a vibrant, multi-cultural university town, well known for the music scene that has spawned a rich pageant of musical and artistic notables, including chart-topping bands REM, The B-52's, and solo artists Matthew Sweet, T. Graham Brown, Vic Chesnutt, and John Berry to name a few. In 2017, Athens was named in Forbes list of the Top 25 Places to Retire and 4th on the Jetsetter Magazine list for "America's Coolest Summer Towns." The numerous and varied private and public amenities available in our community are a welcoming comfort to professionals seeking care for substance use disorder treatment. Our program incorporates these serene and uplifting sanctuaries of nature, culture, and art into many of our experiential therapies. The discretion afforded in this quaint, college town is simply a wonderful bonus and allows clients to focus 100% of their attention on the treatment program, without fear or apprehension of being recognized that comes with some high-traffic resort areas.

Advocacy

At Serenity Grove, we aren't just your world-class treatment provider, we are your advocate for life. Our Professionals Program clinicians and support staff are well-versed in the intricacies of re-entry, consent orders, and other requirements and monitoring that may be required by licensing bodies and/or employers. We are in contact with our clients frequently, which helps ensure long-term success. Although we cannot do your part for you, we can provide robust support and remain committed as your recovery and professional compliance resource for your entire recovery journey.
